Position: High-Performance Professional Driving Instructor

Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Welcome and greet all guests as they arrive at the Clubhouse in a friendly and inviting approach
  • Meet with each driver prior to the start of their driving day to address any questions or coaching requirements they may wish to seek
  • Adhere to the training schedules, coaching outlines and processes established by the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit
  • Analyze client driving behaviour and recognize positive skills and opportunities to improve other skills through specific techniques to practice between training sessions
  • Provided client feedback through post-training briefings and review available data
  • Communicate progress of members with other instructors/coaches to ensure all Circuit team is on the same page in the event should not be available
  • Perform operator’s basic vehicle inspection prior to the start of each driving day to ensure the vehicle is safe and track ready

Position: Motorsport Technician and Service Advisor

Hours: Wednesday to Sunday 8 to 5 with one-hour lunch

This role would be a combination of both the Technician and Service Advisor for the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Perform suspension, tire, brake, simple maintenance and oil change work on all cars driving on the circuit. Never to be the competition of our dealerships, but their extension at the circuit.
  • Perform wheel alignments and corner weighing set up work and work with suspension manufacturers to be
  • Become a Pirelli tire specialist and maintain a good relationship with Pirelli and other tire companies
  • Be the brake specialist and maintain contact with the manufacturer
  • Become a vehicle seat specialist and maintain a good working relationship with manufacturers.
  • Be the advisor and technician in one
  • In charge of the fuel stations and responsible for the inventory of fuel and the right octane levels for the events planned
  • Keeping track of the inventory of parts at the circuit
  • Take all relevant phone calls and be central in planning member driving days and assure their cars are ready
  • Support the Motorsport Circuit and the Villa Eyrie Resort in all active and passive marketing efforts to increase business

Requirements:

Must have a Red Seal Journeyman Ticket

  • Passion for motorsport
  • Driven to serve clients
  • Have well-developed abilities to converse with clients with the ability to explain technical issues to them
  • Must have a spotless criminal record check, valid BC driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Constant product and program training will be a must
  • Electronic knowledge would be an asset
  • Must have initiative, drive and an attitude to achieve service targets while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
  • Computer skills are a must

Position: Track Worker

Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):

  • Assisting members and guests with anything they need
  • Monitoring track activity in the control room
  • Maintaining the appearance of the clubhouse and surrounding grounds
  • Detailing vehicles and equipment as required
  • Operate support vehicles in the event someone needs to be towed or moved off the Circuit
  • Transportation support of vehicles and supplies for various GAIN Group events

The Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit is looking for an experienced Corporate Sales Executive to join the team!

Please note that the following list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and that you may be expected to perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities should the need arise.

  • Continuously networking, developing new relationships, and building your portfolio to achieve maximum membership sales
  • Selling Motorsport Circuit memberships
