Our team and a group of BMW fans had the opportunity to test-drive the new 5 Series – including the M550i – yesterday at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. This special one-day #DrivefortheFuture event provided our customers with an exclusive opportunity to experience the 7th generation of the 5 Series for a day of road and circuit test driving.
The all-new BMW 5 Series has been constructed to outperform the competition at every turn. Its intuitive, state-of-the-art technology takes driver performance and dynamics to new heights. And with immaculate design quality in every detail, you’ll see why this vehicle has once again redefined the modern business sedan.
The 5 Series is leaner and lightning fast, boasting the most dynamic performance in its segment. An intelligent lightweight design has made it an impressive 137 lbs. lighter, and powerful Twin Turbo engines have made it nearly 1 full second faster than the previous generation model in 0 – 100km. Adaptive Mode learns the driver’s tendencies and adjusts the vehicle’s dynamics to optimally and intuitively match their driving style.
BMW Nanaimo and BMW Victoria customers had the exclusive opportunity to familiarize themselves with the vehicles and the new features on the winding country roads of the Cowichan Valley, with the option to switch over on to the circuit for a few uninhibited faster laps.
