Drive For A Cause

There are days at Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit that stay in mind long after the engines have gone quiet.

Porsche Centre Victoria’s Annual Charity GT Drive Experience was one of those days. We were honored to welcome the Porsche community to VIMC for an experience that brought together the thrill of driving, the beauty of the island and, most importantly, the opportunity to give back to the community we call home.

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed time on track and moments to connect away from it, surrounded by the unmistakable energy of Porsche. But as the day unfolded, it became clear that the most meaningful part of the experience had little to do with horsepower.

The event was held in support of the Island Kids Cancer Association (IKCA), an organization dedicated to supporting children and families across Vancouver Island throughout their cancer journey. The day offered an opportunity for the Porsche community to come together and contribute to a cause that has a meaningful impact close to home. As part of the experience, guests also heard briefly from a mother whose family had been supported by IKCA, offering a personal perspective on the difference the organization can make during an incredibly challenging time.

The generosity that followed was extraordinary. Together, the Porsche community raised more than $210,000 for IKCA, more than double the amount raised the previous year.

For Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, it was a privilege to provide the setting for such a special day. Our circuit has always been a place where people come together around a shared passion for driving, but experiences like this remind us that the moments created here can carry a much greater meaning.

A day of beautiful cars, memorable laps and meaningful connections, all in support of families across Vancouver Island. We were proud to be part of it.
