Built for enthusiasts who believe driving should be an experience, not simply a means of getting somewhere, this ultra-exclusive coupe brings the legendary AMG V8 back into the spotlight. Limited to just 30 examples worldwide, the CLE 646 is the second model in Mercedes-AMG’s exclusive “Mythos” family – and it is every bit as dramatic as its name may suggest.

At its heart is a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged, flat-plane-crank V8 producing 637 horsepower, complemented by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Unlike many modern performance cars, the CLE 646 sends all that power exclusively to the rear wheels, paired with a nine-speed MCT transmission.

The numbers are impressive: 0–100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 310 km/h. But AMG’s focus goes well beyond straight-line speed. KW coilover suspension, massive carbon-ceramic brakes, forged 20-inch wheels, and a dramatically pared-back two-seat interior transform the CLE 646 into a machine designed with the track firmly in mind.

Inside, carbon-fibre bucket seats and a full roll cage make its intentions unmistakable. This is not simply a faster CLE, it is a celebration of the performance coupe in its purest form.

And with just 30 cars being produced, reportedly all already spoken for, the CLE 646 Spezialanfertigung is destined to become a very rare piece of AMG history.
