Lotus Emira | Limited Edition and Updates
First unveiled at the 2025 Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, the Lotus Emira Clark Edition pays tribute to one of motorsport’s most accomplished drivers – the late, great Jim Clark.
During his time with Lotus in the 1960s, Clark achieved remarkable success across multiple disciplines. His standout 1965 season included winning the Formula 1 World Championship, the European and British Formula 2 Championships, the Tasman Series across New Zealand and Australia, and the Indianapolis 500 – an unprecedented level of cross-series dominance that remains unmatched. Widely regarded by many – including fellow champions Juan Manuel Fangio and Ayrton Senna – as one of the most naturally gifted and complete drivers in motorsport history, Clark’s legacy continues to define excellence in racing.
To honour the 60th anniversary of his extraordinary 1965 season, Lotus has produced just 60 examples of the Emira Clark Edition. Each vehicle features a British Racing Green and yellow livery inspired by the Indianapolis 500-winning Lotus Type 38, along with heritage-focused design details including a wooden shift knob and a red driver’s seat, referencing Clark’s original race cars. The passenger seat is finished in matching leather and Alcantara, maintaining a cohesive yet driver-focused interior theme.
Also recently revealed, the Emira 420 Sport arrives later in 2026 as the most performance-focused evolution of the Emira platform to-date.
A series of aerodynamic, chassis, and powertrain enhancements combine to elevate both performance and driving precision. An increased power output is paired with improved cooling, enhanced aerodynamic downforce, and refined braking performance, while trademark Lotus weight reduction and a lowered ride height contribute to sharper handling dynamics.
Power comes exclusively from an uprated iteration of the AMG 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, supported by lightweight components such as a lithium-ion battery, titanium exhaust system, and carbon fibre rear panel as part of the Lotus Lightweight Handling Package.
For the first time in the Emira lineup, adjustable suspension is offered, developed in collaboration with Canadian automotive engineering firm Multimatic. Additional options include a removable glass roof for an open-air driving experience and a Track Performance package featuring integrated vehicle sensors and data logging, allowing drivers to accurately measure and refine lap performance.
Together, the Clark Edition and 420 Sport represent two distinct expressions of the Emira philosophy – one rooted in heritage and legacy, the other focused on modern performance and track capability.
