Big things are ahead for Vancouver Island’s own Nicole Havrda. Hailing from Courtenay, Nicole has become a local inspiration in motorsport, and her rapid ascent through the ranks continues to impress. Like many racing greats, her journey began in karting right here in British Columbia. From there, she advanced into GT testing and international Formula racing in India before setting her sights even higher.

In her first season behind the wheel of a Formula 3 car, Nicole made a bold statement, capturing not one, but three championship titles. She then stepped up to compete in a tougher, more competitive series across Eastern North America, where she finished an impressive 6th overall in her debut season.

Now Nicole is preparing for her biggest challenge yet: the Formula 1 Academy. This all-female, F4-spec championship is backed by all ten Formula 1 teams and features 18 of the world’s most promising drivers, competing across seven F1 weekends. Representing American Express, Nicole will compete on global circuits – including F1’s Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal this coming June, 2025.

And if that is not enough, she will also be racing in the FR Americas Championship in her Formula 3 car, keeping her calendar packed and her skills razor sharp.
