AMG and Porsche, names forged by high-performance racing engines and a perfect match to the offerings at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. This past week, we were visited by Mercedes-Benz Nanaimo, Three Point Motors and Porsche Centre Victoria where they each introduced two of their newest models to their 2017 lineup, the C 43 AMG Coupe/Sedan, the GLC 43 AMG, the Porsche 718 Boxster and the Porsche 718 Cayman.
Attendees had the exclusive opportunity to experience all of these models on various courses.  They learned defensive driving on the driving dynamic area, allowing each participant to test the safety features of these amazing vehicles.  They then took the vehicles for a scenic road tour where they had the opportunity to experience every vehicle in everyday settings.  The day concluded with a drive on the Circuit where they gained valuable lessons on the performance handling of each model while increasing their confidence as drivers and experiencing what each model truly represents.
The Mercedes-Benz guest’s introduction to the new model coupe, sedan and SUV allowed them to find out which vehicles suited their comfort levels, driving style and overall lifestyle. Each of the participants were encouraged to switch back and forth between the sports and standard modes. They experienced the dynamics of the AMG performance where it was needed most and appropriate to the various driving conditions. With the helpful Mercedes-Benz product specialists on hand, everyone could get answers to questions and discover the highlights of all the updated features launched with the new vehicles.
Porsche guests had the rare opportunity to compare the 718 models to their predecessors while obtaining valuable performance driving instruction by the crew at the Circuit.
The Porsche morning session may have been a little on the wet side, but participants gained opportunities to increase their confidence in each performance vehicle while testing the safety features of the new 718’s and perfecting their skills in wet weather conditions.
While enjoying the lunch prepared by Executive Chef, Castro Boateng and his team from the Paddock Lounge, each guest shared their stories and their insight of each vehicle they got to experience.
Here’s a look into their day in the pictures that captured it all.
