Hockey is more than just a game; it is also a great way to bring people and their community, together. As a member of this community, we are proud to support the Cowichan Capitals and the entire Cowichan Valley district.
As we all rallied together to cheer for our home team, we were excited to be a part of new traditions that brought us along at a good old hockey game. Meeting with everyone, fielding questions, and extending invites to visit us at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit—we thank everyone for attending our tent and welcoming us to the game.
At this past weekend’s game, we gave as much cheer as we could for the Caps as they played a tough game against the visiting Merritt Centennials. During the intermission, one of our Circuit fleet vehicles and the team mascot, Ivan Beak’inoff, drove out onto the ice to rally the crowd behind our team.
Although it ended in a loss, we all gained some positives by sharing a moment together as a community who loves and appreciates our team.
We look forward to our next outing where we can unite behind the team jersey and for the Capitals to finish with a win!
GO-CAPS-GO!
