On Saturday September 2nd and Sunday September 3rd, the final races for the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada series concluded at the historic Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
For race fans, the series delivered adrenaline fuelled excitement following Porsche Centre Victoria and Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit driver, Pieter Baljet through six courses and twelve competitions in Ontario, Quebec and New York.
The Platinum Champion winner went to Vancouver’s Scott Hargrove, which was his second Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada series championship.
Pieter Baljet on Saturday’s race drove No. 15 against fellow Platinum Master entry Neal Walker in No. 71 and Orey Fidani in No. 13 to place third place in the race, and third in the master class. He finished the entire series 8th in the series with 76 points. Pieter also won the Platinum Yokohama Hard Charger award in Sunday’s final race which had chilly temperatures and steady rainfall. It made for poor visibility and tough racing conditions. Topping all of this off, Pieter finished the series like a champion with a broken rib!
Porsche Centre Victoria and Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit are proud to have Pieter Baljet represent us in this series and thank him for his skills at the wheel. Congratulations on your wins and your accomplishment Pieter!
