When Leigh Pedley, an employment counsellor at the Clements Centre for Community Living, approached us with a request to host a private tour for Alan, a local Cowichan resident who is currently learning bicycle repair skills at Experience Cycle in Duncan, we were excited at the opportunity.
Clements Centre Society is a provincially registered not-for-profit organization and a federally registered charity.  Since 1957, they have been providing services and programs to local residents in the Cowichan region to enhance the lives of children and youth with special needs, adults with developmental disabilities, and their families.
Alan is one of the many amazing residents we were lucky enough to support along with a few others in the community.  Alan is planning on opening a basic bicycling repair business in Lake Cowichan in the spring and we invite you all to help show your support if you’re near the area.
