Over the years, Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit has developed a suite of driving programs tailored to a wide range of drivers – from new motorists looking to build confidence behind the wheel to experienced enthusiasts seeking a more motorsport-focused experience. As our programs have evolved, we have continuously refined our approach based on participant feedback and our own commitment to delivering the most effective driver education possible.

We are excited to introduce a new naming structure for our motorsport educational programs under the High Performance Driving Education (HPDE) banner. This change reflects the natural progression of our courses while ensuring clarity for participants at every stage of their driving journey.

At the foundation of this structure is our all-new HPDE Essentials program – designed to introduce drivers to the fundamentals of high-performance driving. This course helps participants get comfortable with the G-forces and techniques they will experience as they advance in motorsports. Building on these fundamentals, our HPDE Advanced program (formerly HPDE Level 1) maintains its proven curriculum, allowing drivers to refine their skills with more focused exercises that every track driver should master.
