Over the past week the roof of the Clubhouse was completed, a significant step towards seeing the building fulfill our vision. The addition of a temporary staircase allows the workers easy and safe access to the second level, which will ultimately house the classrooms along with the observation lounge and deck. The concrete floor of the second story is scheduled to be installed in the early part of next week.
Work towards completing the exterior walls has now commenced. A “Peel and Stick” air and water barrier is being applied to the concrete blocks that form the walls, with approximately 10%- 20% of this work now being completed.
Other significant work continues about the site. Drainage for the circuit continues to be installed ahead of preparation for the next layer of asphalt.
The eastern highway approaches to the resort are being prepared for the installation of a de-acceleration and right-turn lane leading into the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit property. The installation of a culvert is necessary to pass beneath the entrance driveway. The culvert work is expected to be complete by the end of this week.  Check backs soon for more updates.
