We would like to thank everyone who was able to join us at our first of many open houses at the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit this past weekend.  We certainly enjoyed hosting you at the facility as we are immensely proud of the progress Chris Erb and his team at SupErb Construction and the many sub trades he is working with have accomplished this past year.
We’ve been fortunate to have stayed on schedule during the winter months and look forward to the coming spring. The new grass and blossoms will enhance the grand opening celebrations, with the landscaping and green infields augmenting the beautiful circuit.
The last days of 2015 saw the majority of the window frames placed on the upper floor of the Clubhouse and nearly 50% of the glazing now fitted to the Observation Lounge. The placement of preliminary plumbing and electrical services is nearly complete on the second floor which, along with the Observation Lounge, will also include the driving school classrooms. This rate of progress will soon make it possible to begin the installation of interior drywall, which will provide definitive definition to each of the individual rooms.
On the first floor the concrete floor has been poured, and the marking and placement of interior studs for the walls has commenced. As was the case on the Observation level, work will now begin on the placement and installation of interior studs, and will be quickly followed with the placement of the roughed-in wiring and plumbing.
There are still some significant steps remaining towards completing the Circuit. The laying of another two layers of asphalt on the track surface, as well as the safety run-off areas being a prime example. The project continues to progress on time, and we invite you to follow our progress as we complete each step along the way.
If you would like to be invited to our future open houses, please email us here and let us know of your interests in the facility.
