Today was the day in which each of the responsibilities was passed to team leaders who will take the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit to its grand opening and, in some cases, beyond. We were able to host 16 people at the circuit for a tour of the track and the Clubhouse, to help each of them understand the current status and the construction progress.
Vancouver Island Clubhouse
Over the past year we’ve seen tremendous progress made on the construction of the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit. Through the efforts of SupErb Construction, and their building and excavation partners, the circuit is now just five months away from its grand opening.
As the 300 people Clubhouse begins to take on its finished form, we would like to introduce you to some of the trades and craftspeople who are now working in partnership with SupErb Construction.
Work on the exterior of the Clubhouse continues with the framing now being installed. The plywood sheeting is currently being placed into position, with this step anticipated being completed by mid-week.
Over the past week the roof of the Clubhouse was completed, a significant step towards…
The first section of the roof has now been insulated, and the weatherproof materials applied. The second section of the roof has already progressed to the point of being loaded with the necessary roofing materials.
By this time next year enthusiasts will be enjoying driving their sports cars on the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit, followed by either relaxing in front of the fireplace in their room at our Partner Hotel, or perhaps exploring the attractions Vancouver Island has to offer.
Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen. On October 27th, we made it one step closer to making this vision of the Motorsport Circuit happen.
On October 27, 2015, the next significant step toward making our vision come to life will be realized with the laying of the road surface onto the meticulously prepared aggregate base course.
On Thursday October 15th, our friends at Rudi & Company, world renowned automotive restorer and former owner of Pacific Competition Developments, joined us for an exclusive look at the current progress of the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit.
